David Mark (L) of the PDP and Daniel Onjeh (R) of APC

The Benue PDP also dismissed Onjeh’s allegations that the elections had been rigged.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has urged All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate, Daniel Onjeh to accept his defeat in the February 20 Benue South rerun elections in good faith.

The Benue PDP also dismissed Onjeh’s allegations that the elections had been rigged, Punch reports.

The comments were made by the Publicity Secretary of the Benue PDP, Godwin Ayihe on Monday, February 22.

“The APC brought out its arsenals and state power against Senator Mark yet they failed because the people of Benue State are tired of the ruling party,” Ayihe said.

“The APC is lost in the euphoria of defeat and crying foul because the people have rejected them. If elections are held 100 times in the senatorial district, the PDP would always win,” he added.

Onjeh was defeated by PDP candidate and former Senate President, David Mark.
